1. 217 Enlisted (01.10.40) = 1 First Sergeant + 24 Sergeants + 19 Corporals + 70 Privates First Class + 103 Privates;
2. 217 Enlisted (06.11.40) = 1 First Sergeant + 24 Sergeants + 19 Corporals + 58 Privates First Class + 115 Privates;
3. 6 Officers = 1 Captain + 2 1^st Lieutenants + 3 2^nd Lieutenants;
4. The battalion section, of the infantry regimental headquarters company's communication platoon, lays a telephone line between the battalion command post and each company command post. The required equipment is carried on the table of organization of the battalion communication section;
5. Additionally, each rifle company has 2 CE-11 reel units each 0,25 miles of assault wire and 1 EE-8 telephone. This provides intracompany wire communications;
